Stone offers another beautiful addition to the outside surface of our kitchens. Impervious to the elements, stone adds a timeless, luxurious and connected quality to the outdoor kitchen, bar and fireplace area. Two of the most popular varieties are limestone and granite..
Limestone
Custom-carved Texas limestone graces any structure with elegance, permanence and beauty. Texas limestone has been used in the construction of countless monuments, hospitals, government buildings, schools, office buildings and fine residences. It is available in a variety of natural colors and is an unparalleled choice for both interior and exterior applications.
Granite
Compared to granite, engineered stone, ceramic tile, laminate, butcher block, and other manufactured surfaces, granite earns the highest overall performance rating as a kitchen countertop material and is one of the most popular natural stones on the market. Available in a striking choice of color, granite's durability and longevity make it ideal for kitchen countertops and other heavily-used surfaces.
While some synthetic surfaces scratch easily and melt under hot cookware, granite resists heat. Granite is excellent for food preparation because it is one of the more bacteria-resistant surfaces and is not affected by citric acid, coffee, tea, alcohol, or wine. It is also nearly impossible to scratch, and with proper cleaning, it will not stain under normal use. Countertops made from acrylic and other manufactured materials may have the “look” of granite, but the similarities end there. For resistance to bacteria, heat, scratches, stains, and overall performance, granite is unsurpassed.
Granite will not chip or crack
Most flaws in stone are detected during transit of the slab. If it can withstand the fabrication process, it will never break under normal kitchen conditions. You would have to assault it with something like a hammer.
Granite is highly stain-resistant
Of all types of stone, Granite is the least porous. Water left on a Granite countertop for a long period of time will show evidence of moisture. It will, however, evaporate and the "dark spot" will disappear. Oil left on a Granite surface will slowly be absorbed into the stone. It is recommended that any spills be wiped up when they occur. If the spill is not caught in time and a stain does occur, a poultice may be applied to draw the oil back out of the stone. Over time, the oil will naturally redistribute itself into the stone until it becomes virtually undetectable.
Granite resists heat
Unlike "man-made" synthetic solid surface counter tops, granite can withstand a dish hot from the oven or stove right onto its surface.
Granite resists scratches and holds its shine
With normal daily use, even cutting directly upon it, you will not mar the finish of your counter top. Unlike any other surface, Granite will not lose its shine.

Our favorite words are, "We want something different." That phrase more than any other gets our creativity flowing. We'll survey your landscape, taking photographs and measurements, and then talk with you to develop your ideas. Once things have started to gel, we'll return with several design ideas, staying within budgetary goals.
Creativity is at its best in the spirit of contribution. Once the general concept is firm, we'll return with more designs, textures, lighting plans and more. It's an exciting process and we love our work. With more than 500 pools under our belt and no two pools alike, we're still discovering new ways to combine stone, water, fire and light.
Like music, all elements must come together, each complementing the other, to produce chords of graceful expression one building upon the other.
